The green table

Through the activity of growing, giving and exchanging plants and green tools for free, ‘Green Table’ promotes positive social and ecological action within the RCA Community

I loved growing these plants with my colleague Tess Piggott. I also painted a series of plant illustrations to accompany and identify the plants through. This formed part of a free gifting approach to creating, growing and and exchanging plants within the college. RCA Textiles also contributed to the project, bringing beautiful dye samples and plants to demonstrate how practically we can use plants in contemporary art and design practice.

I hope to continue producing seasonal free plant tables as part of a collaborative proposal for the ‘RCA Together Engagement Project’.
