finding landscapes,
Finding Drawing
This adult drawing workshop, started with a short walk in Hyde Park and finished at the Royal Georgraphical Society.
During our walk, the group was encouraged to make short drawings or written notes about what interested them in the Hyde Park landscape. Each participant was given a handmade book to do this, which I made prior to the workshop. We then walked back to the RGS and in one of the study rooms, explored drawing reflectvely, entirely from our imagination, using our book drawing/writing as prompts for larger, imaginative work. After lunch, we then moved outside, into the RGS Garden, where we explored drawing through direct looking and how it contrasted with the reflective drawiing method we explored in the first part of the workshop.
