The RCA

The following photographs document inactive spaces on the RCA Kensington campus which could be transformed into green learning environments. My interest in the use of landscape space at the College began with my work for RCA Hidden, through which I used part of the RCA Fernery as a environment through which to create my sound installation 'The Island'

In September 2025, I engaged again with the landscape of the RCA through creating the project ‘Growing Again: Re-making the RCA Garden’ and 'The Green Table’ for Student Support.  I was inspired to create a landscape of growth, care and inclusion, for students and staff. I felt such a space was missing from the RCA which concerned me at a time of environmental, economic and social crisis. I also wanted to create a space that encouraged connection and generated green practice in a very humble, inclusive way.
